Basin Natural Beef animals are raised on a 100% vegetarian diet. When not on pastures they are fed hay with supplemental corn silage. Our animals have never been given antibiotics or added hormones. All of our meat is processed through Carefree Meats in Basin City, WA. This facility is USDA inspected. We have inspected their facility and can say with confidence that the animals processed through their business are treated humanely. There is a USDA inspector on site and their facility is very clean. Our beef is naturally lean. There is little to no shrinkage. We can say from experience as well as from customer testimonials that there is little to no fat in the frying pan. Our beef has a very good flavor. There is no gamey taste whatsoever. This is due in part to the fact that our animals are not strictly grass fed. |
